Type B botulinum toxin for patients who no longer respond to Botox, Dysport, or Xeomin. Administered personally by Dr. Amir Mortazavi, MD.
Botox, Dysport, Xeomin, and Jeuveau are all Type A botulinum toxins. If you've developed neutralizing antibodies to Type A, switching between those brands won't help — they share the same target. Myobloc is Type B, a structurally distinct serotype, which is why it can work when Type A no longer does.

Forehead Lines (1 area) — horizontal lines across the forehead caused by repeated brow elevation.
Glabella (1 area) — the vertical "elevens" between the eyebrows that create a tense or fatigued appearance at rest.
Crow's Feet (1 area) — fine lines fanning from the outer corners of the eyes, most visible when smiling or squinting.
Multiple areas can be treated in the same session. Dr. Mortazavi will advise how many areas your concern actually requires — which is sometimes fewer than patients expect.
This is for you if: your neurotoxin used to work and progressively stopped · you've switched brands within Type A with no improvement · your results now last only a few weeks · you're not getting the same effect at doses that previously worked
What's different about Type B: onset is typically faster than Type A. Duration is often shorter. Dosing is measured on an entirely different scale, so unit counts are not comparable — a Myobloc dose looks nothing like a Botox dose on paper.
Consultation required before treatment. Not every case of "Botox stopped working" is antibody-mediated resistance. Underdosing, product dilution, injection technique, and unrealistic expectations account for many of them, and those are cheaper problems to fix. Dr. Mortazavi will determine which situation you're in before recommending Type B.
