These are frequently combined. Volume in poor-quality skin still reads as poor-quality skin — a patient with well-filled lips and heavy vertical lines will often get more from resurfacing than from another syringe. Dr. Mortazavi will tell you which component is actually driving what's bothering you.

3 treatments — the standard course for established lip lines and textural change. Results build across the series; a single session on significant lines will underdeliver.
What to expect: 20 to 30 minutes with topical numbing. Expect redness, swelling, and tenderness of the lips and surrounding skin for several days — the lips swell more than most areas and the first 24 hours are the most pronounced. A fine crust or flaking as treated tissue sheds is normal.
Most patients are presentable in four to six days. Keep the area moisturized, don't pick at flaking skin, and protect it from sun.
A note on cold sores. If you're prone to them, laser treatment around the mouth can trigger an outbreak. Tell Dr. Mortazavi at consultation — antiviral prophylaxis is started before treatment when there's any history.
