SkinVive by Juvederm is a highly diluted hyaluronic acid placed into the skin rather than beneath it. Where traditional filler adds volume under the tissue, SkinVive improves the tissue itself — hydrating the dermis, softening fine surface lines, and producing the smooth, reflective quality people describe as glass skin.

SkinVive does not lift, project, or structurally change the face. It won't fill a hollow, restore a cheek, or define a jawline. Hydrated skin can look plumper in the way well-hydrated skin always does, but that's a tissue-quality change rather than added volume.
If you have volume loss, you need filler or Sculptra. If your structure is fine and your skin quality isn't, this is the treatment.
The two are frequently combined — filler for structure, SkinVive for skin quality on top of it. Volume placed under poor-quality skin still reads as poor-quality skin, which is why patients who've had filler and still feel something's missing are often good candidates for this.
What to expect: 20 to 30 minutes with topical numbing. Small bumps at injection sites are normal and typically resolve within hours to a day. Mild redness is expected. Most patients return to normal activity immediately; makeup can generally go on the next day.
Skin feels softer immediately. The full result — glow, smoother texture, softened fine lines — develops over 2 to 4 weeks. Results typically last about 6 months, and most patients maintain with treatment twice a year.
